Here at Moteefe we know that convincing people to buy from you can, at times, be tricky. We’ve found the most common reasons why people aren’t buying and we’re going to teach you how to make sure they’re spending.  So here are our top five converting tips…

Marketing for your audience

1. Who you target

It’s vital that you are advertising to the right audience for your products. Finding your niche and spreading the word about your product is the easiest way to ensure that you making the correct sales. If you’re not selling to a particular audience, then you need to do research to find out who your best audience is. As long as you’re making something that is relevant for your audience, people will want to buy from you, it really is as simple as that.

Target audience

2. How often you target them

Finding your Audience isn’t the only challenge you’ll face when you’re trying to sell though. Advertising too little will mean that no one see’s your products and advertising too much will annoy your customers and make them reluctant to buy from you.

Frequency is an often overlooked factor when you’re marketing, there isn’t a fixed frequency which is the best to use, it varies based on your audience. According to Comscore 25-34 year olds see 2,094 banner ads a month, when consumers see adverts so often, they automatically ignore these adverts, this is called Banner Blindness.

On average, the best frequency per person is about 5 times, but this can vary. It’s best to watch your CTR (click through rate) and CPC (cost per click). If you want to know more about frequency, Adspresso have a great article about how to optimise it.

Creating Value

Consumers don’t often buy things that they can’t see a value in, so it’s up to you to make sure that they see the value in your custom designs. You can do this by either lowering your price from the existing perceived value or increasing the perceived value. Increasing the perceived value can be as simple as marketing your products as luxury items.

Perceived Value

Creating perceived value for your t-shirt designs can be as simple as offering a discounted price for a certain time. This makes people believe that they’re getting a product for lower than its perceived value, and everyone likes a bargain.

Building trust

It’s important to make sure that customers trust you, you’re not likely to make any sales if you’re not trustworthy enough for consumers. 83% of consumers will recommend a product they trust to a friend. The best way to build up trust with your potential customer base is to engage with your customers directly. Be available on social media, interact with customers by answering questions, clearly and honestly.

Encouraging engagement with your target audience on social media will not only make the people you interact with more trusting in you, but also anyone else who sees the interactions.

 Facebook Engagement

Showing off your t-shirt designs and custom mugs being worn and used by real people will also build up trust with your audience because they can see the value of your product to someone else. This not only a great way to build up trust with your audience, it also helps you advertise your products to other consumers who view your page.

Encourage Quick Purchases

As much as we wish it were true, consumers aren’t looking to buy something 24/7, and will quite often be too distracted by the other things in life to spend their money on your products. That’s why it’s important to make a sale when your consumers are browsing.

Creating a sense of urgency with your product designs will convert browsers to buyers as this will be their only chance to get their hands on your personalised clothing design. Moteefe’s campaign system allows you to do this with ease.

Sense of Urgency

Setting up your campaign for a fixed time will allow you to advertise your designs as a limited edition offer. You can extend this idea by offering discounts for the first few days that your campaign is up. If people think that they’re going to miss out on the chance to get your custom products then they’re more likely to buy straight away.

Stand Out

Consumers have countless options when it comes to purchasing online, so it’s important to stand out. In order to stand out, you need to see what your competitors are doing and try something a little different.

Some great ways to stand out are:

  • Offering a great customer experience and encouraging engagement
  • Creating unique ad campaigns directed at specific niche pages
  • Offering deals and discounts to first time buyers
  • Finding problems with your competitors offers and offering a solution to the problem for your customers

When you stand out from your competition customers will find and come to you so that they can be a part of what makes you unique from their other options.
